Lori, I always enjoy your writing and this was no exception. I don't even like soccer, but your writing made it enjoyable for even those of us that understand even less of soccer than you do. You are right, always mix fruit and almonds for an excellent snack.

Jason's watching the Germany v. Australia game right now. I honestly don't see the appeal. As my friend Beth said, "I'd like soccer a whole lot more if they all took their shirts off." At least the announcer has a great accent.

I'm very happy with the US national team, although most of the players are not in the top level and the local league is not the best of the world's league - they can come together in a great synergistic and make their way in the world cup!
