Don't ever worry that you're not the mother you should be. If you weren't, you wouldn't have pursued this. You had a gut feeling. That's a good mother's reaction. I have no doubt that you will give Cole all that he needs and he is a lucky boy to have you as a mother.

Wow, Lori. Wow. You are really amazing, and I'm so happy that Cole is yours... I know that you will do everything you can to help him be all you can be!

(Have you read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time?)

We do not have a diagnosis yet, but the specialist we saw today suspects Asperger's. I have been insisting on further testing for two years, and our other doctor completely dismissed the idea that there is more wrong with our son than just ADHD. I feel your tears, and I have my own. Right now they are tears of frustration, but I hope we will be able to find the right doctors who will be willing to hear our concerns, and proceed with proper testing. God bless you in your journey with your son!
